The Hornets' victory extended their unbeaten record on home soil to 14 matches (won nine, drawn five), moving them up to seventh in the table and outside the play-off places on goal difference. 

Bayo headed Watford into a 35th minute lead, steering Rocco Vata's teasing delivery into the box beyond Alex Palmer. 

The pair combined again after the break to double the hosts' advantage, with Bayo taking down Vata's looped ball on his chest before firing a low strike home. 

Jayson Molumby pulled one back from close range to revive Albion's hopes butlodi casino, despite forcing a wave of corners during the closing stages, they could not find an equaliser.
